The megaron was the great hall in ancient-Greek homes, used for feasts, parties, and receiving visitors. Our society is a megaron for students of ancient Greco-Roman literature, thought, history and culture.
Megaron fellows read Homer to Alzheimer’s patients, retell Greek myths to Pre-K students, and bring Classics into global dialogue with other cultures, past and present. Our fellowships, essay contests, symposia, research initiatives, resources, podcasts, videos, and journal promote humane understanding
Megaron fellows and student leaders are a diverse tribe of emerging scholars. With our partners and peers we mentor first-generation college and low-income students. Our advisory board opens pathways for knowledge-exchange with publics beyond the classroom, including communities underserved by traditional academic Classics.
Click below to join Megaron. We'll spam you about events, essay contests, and service opportunities, but only like once a month.
